When you first set up your own company and choose to Work From Home, you probably will not have one of the Best Paid Careers from day one, no matter how good your inspiration. There is often a time where you are telling others you are “out there” and even if you get business from the beginning, no doubt your client base will grow over time, so you will not be at full strength immediately.

However, there are some things to consider when you Work From Home which can aid you in seeing that less money may not necessarily be as big a worry as it would be if you worked in an office for the same wage. Imagine you have an Internet Business, which lets you to be working from your house, you would not be needing suits for wearing to work each day, as you would if you were, for example, working in an office or visiting potential clients each day. The cost of suits, with the smart shirts and ties for gentlemen or smart tops and hosiery for females, plus the maintenance of these suits in the form of dry cleaning fees, can be quite high. Then of course there is the cost of shoes to match the suits, which if you have purchased an expensive suit, you would not fancy cheap shoes to wear with it.

If you are a two-car household, you may find that you now only want one car, which could save a lot of money each year, taking into consideration the decline in value of the car, car tax, MOT test, insurance, servicing, fuel, tyres and the many other costs associated with owning a car. Apart from the cost of a mortgage, maintaining a car is in all likelihood the largest outgoing for many families today, so if this can be reduced by going from two vehicles to one, it could be a big financial relief.

If you Work From Home, you will not be coaxed to go to the pub for that after work quick pint with your friends, which although not a massive cost, over the course of a year can tally up into a not insignificant sum, particularly if you are a boss and therefore expected to buy a drink for each of your co-workers, whereby your one pint could cost you the price of half a dozen drinks.

Even when you have an Internet Business and Work From Home there will be occasions when you will most likely need to visit clients, but the instances will be much fewer than if you were working in an office and one smart outfit will most likely fit most of these instances.

Hopefully the above has left you feeling more secure about the fact that even if you are not in one of the Best Paid Careers from the start when you set up in business for yourself, you will have time to adapt and improve the business without the need to panic that you are not earning what you were when you worked for somebody else, because your costs are lower and therefore a lower income may not make you any less well off in actuality.
