I am sure most of us have spotted, at some time, the home made cardboard signs, attached to road signs or street lamps, offering the opportunity to earn high wages in our spare time. They are often hand-written, telling of huge figures which can be earned in a few hours, and give a phone number to ring if you want to get involved. If the claims made are right, then these could be some of the Best Paid Careers going.

Clearly, it has to be considered, if these careers were as good as they are advertised, then they would not be advertised on home made cardboard signs with just a telephone number for ringing. These would be Careers In Demand, with many folk vying for the opportunity to work for them. They would be advertising for the best possible recruits and would be happy to pay for this advertising to make sure they got them.

It could be these are Work From Home opportunities, whereby it is the duty of the person doing the work to buy certain items from the company offering the massive sums, at over-inflated prices, to sell on.

Then there are the careers where one recruit gets other folk to join the company, being paid literally for recruiting others into the scam – there is actually no work at all just money for everyone you recruit who then will pay a sum to learn how to make this fantastic amount and finds out all they need to do is get others to part with cash. Never part with money unless you are aware exactly what you are paying for and that it is worth the payment.

Maybe they want those looking to be part of these Best Paid Careers to part with a large amount of cash to undertake training which may mean that it will be some considerable time before these employees see any profit. If you are making a payment for training, be certain that it is training that will be useful to you in your future career development. Pay for nothing until you know what the bonus to you will be.

Because all we have is a phone number, often a mobile phone number at that, it would be very complicated to track down the company if there was any cause for concern in the future and it would be equally difficult for trading standards or other governing bodies to put a stop to their practice. In order to go away, they would just need to stop using their mobile telephone and they are gone.

Most of us know the saying “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true” and therefore we should not view these as Careers In Demand, but more as scams to steer clear of. There are real Work From Home opportunities which can give good return for investment, and these businesses will not be shy of letting you know who they are, where their registered office is, what costs are involved and what return you can realistically achieve. If you want to earn extra money, these would be a much safer bet than anything you may see displayed by the side of the road.
