Each year, as the Christmas wrapping is completed, people’s ideas move to the New Year. What resolutions will they make, and how quickly will they break them? Will it be the post Christmas diet that is the number 1 priority? Maybe you resolve to trim down on the alcohol, give up cigars, get your garden smartened up. Choices, choices, and only you can make them.

There may well be the bigger than usual credit card bills to anticipate, and this could make you think about your job situation, whether there is a way in which for 2010 you do not have such big debts and hurdles in order to purchase your family and friends the presents you know they will love. This is most likely a thought most of us have had at some time in our lives, but there are possibly not that many people who have actually done anything to change matters.

We may dream of a lottery win, but are aware that our opportunity of actually making our fortune that way are somewhere between slim and non-existent, so if we want an upturn in our financial position, we need to view the options for ourselves. We know what matters to us, what inspires us, better than anybody. We know our strengths and weaknesses. We know how much cash we need to have in order to pay the bills and enjoy our life, because after all that is why we work, in order to take pleasure in our out of work life.

It could be we would like to start up our own company. It could be we would like to climb up the career path in our current role. Perhaps we would choose to Work From Home. Maybe we are lucky enough to have some funds behind us and resolve it would be great to take some time out to train for a new career.

It would be great if we could merge more than one of these wishes into our dream role, so perhaps we decide we would like to do training in order to set up our own Internet Business and Work From Home. What type of company could we begin? There are lost of Online Jobs which give an idea of the type of roles available so a search through the web could well bring up some gems. Is there a service that could be given through an Internet Business which is currently not offered and for which we have a passion? Perhaps we can spot a hole in the market which we could fill.

Reflect on times when we have wanted something and been discouraged that even use of search engines does not locate exactly what we want. Perhaps this would be an ideal market for starting an Internet Business. The opportunities are as large as our imagination. If we have a real passion for something, why would others not share that passion, and therefore a new firm could emerge from that thought.

So while you are enjoying your post Christmas relaxation, thinking about the way you want your life to take in the New Year, get on the web, search through the Online Jobs, and next Christmas may be a wholly different prospect from this one. Make it happen!
